By downloading, installing, or using CHOPPL ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. CHOPPL is operated by AJ, an individual doing business as CHOPPL ("we", "us", "our").
CHOPPL is a video sampler and virtual drum machine available in two tiers:
When you purchase CHOPPL Pro, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on your own devices. License delivery and activation is handled by Lemon Squeezy.
You may not:
CHOPPL and all associated code, design, and assets are the property of AJ / CHOPPL. All rights reserved. The App is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Content you create using CHOPPL (recordings, compositions, exports) remains entirely your own. We claim no rights over your output.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR COMPATIBLE WITH ALL SYSTEMS. YOUR USE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CHOPPL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
We may release updates to the App at our discretion. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any feature at any time without prior notice. A one-time purchase does not guarantee future updates, though we intend to continue development.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

CHOPPL does not track you. The app runs locally on your device. We don't collect your usage data, your media files, or your creative output. Ever.
CHOPPL Lite (browser app) and CHOPPL Pro (desktop app) process all media — video, audio, and recordings — entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
The only personal information we receive is what you voluntarily provide at the time of purchase:
Lemon Squeezy — Our payment and licensing processor. Their privacy policy applies to data collected during checkout and key delivery. See lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.
Cloudflare — Our hosting provider for try.choppl.com. Cloudflare may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type) as part of normal web hosting. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
CHOPPL Lite uses browser localStorage and IndexedDB solely to save your session state (pad assignments, patterns, settings) locally on your device. No tracking cookies are used.
CHOPPL is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

Due to the digital nature of CHOPPL Pro, all purchases are final and non-refundable once your order has been completed and the download has been delivered.
We strongly encourage you to try CHOPPL Lite — our free browser-based version at try.choppl.com — before purchasing Pro. Lite gives you a genuine feel for the app's workflow, interface, and performance on your device.

If you initiate a chargeback without contacting us first, your license key will be revoked. We're a small independent product — please reach out directly and we'll resolve it.
